Curriculum
Program of Study:
Permanent Make-Up
Program Objective:
To prepare students for their new
profession as a derma-technologist, by teaching correct
methods of application, color theory, sanitation and
public safety.
Admission Requirements: An applicant requesting admission
must have proof of the completion of the 10th grade or
have a high school diploma or a GED. Students must also
be eighteen (18) years of age. The applicant is
interviewed by the school's Director to discuss the
program requirements and content and the student's
reason for application to the school. A student wishing
to apply for enrollment is permitted to attend on (1)
class session to determine their level of commitment and
financial obligation. Credit from previous training or
experience will be granted on the ability to perform an
evaluation given by the E-Elite Academy.
Students must be 18 years old and possess
a valid cosmetology, skin care, OR, L.P.N., L.N. or Dr.
license.
Program Description:
This permanent make-up program
concentrates on all micro pigmentation procedures
involving color theory, sanitation and sterilization,
anatomy/physiology, and business procedures.
Entrance Requirements or
Prerequisites:
Facial specialist, cosmetology,
nurse, doctor, medical assistant, dental nurse.
Completion Time:
Course will be offered according to enrollment demands.
This is a 50hr program that runs from Mon-Sat. Call

Permanent Make-Up
History and Introduction to Micro-pigmentation:
Describe and demonstrate the “Tap Method”: the state of
the art technique. Understanding the regulations for
protection of client and technician.
State Laws and Insurance:
Understanding the organizations OSHA, EPA, and CDC for
insurance protection, liability for establishment and
general procedures.
Safety, Sanitation, and Sterilization:
Understanding and demonstrating universal precautions.
Teaching patient considerations (medical history, patch
testing, photographs, and informed consents).
Anatomy, Physiology, Disorders of the skin:
Educating on the histology of the appendages of the
skin, (hair, nails, sweat, and oil glands). To become
proficient in recognizing certain abnormalities of the
skin.
Intro Machine and Implant Technique:
Demonstrate the hand-held method and understand the
application of intra-dermal pigmentation procedure.
Demonstrate the machine method as a filler for color
perfection.
Checklist, Equipment, Treatment Room Setup:
Understanding preparation, operation, list of supplies,
and list of equipment to maintain the appropriate
surrounding for business.
Pigment Color Theory:
Understanding pigment ingredients, how to recommend
colored pigments, and color theory with primary,
secondary, and tertiary.
Implant Placement, Application, and Positioning:
Understanding and practicing to become more proficient
in bowling, speckle, and pointillistic techniques.
Corrective, Removal, Camouflage Info:
Understanding and role-playing the benefits to
client/patient to have camouflage done as a procedure.
Correction procedure instruction (removing color).
Consultation, Medical Issues, pre and post
operative:
Protocols for obtaining medical information from
patient/client. Understanding the Do’s and Don’ts of
patient/client medical abnormalities; patient/client
being a good or poor candidate for pigmentation
procedure.
Procedure Guidelines:
Giving the student step by step guidelines with
pre-procedure protocols and post-procedure protocols to
intra-dermal pigmentation.
Business Procedures:
Consist of guidelines for successful start-up for
prospective business. Gives suggestion for marketing
your demographics.
